Collection Support
It is very easy to get overwhelmed by the “not fun parts” of owning a lot of art. It is especially difficult if you haven’t transitioned yet to a useable visual database of your inventory.
I understand the art markets inside and out, with an incisive, analytical eye towards what information is most important for collectors. I’m a digital native, so it’s easy for me to apply the latest, easiest tools. And I have good knowledge of art history, particularly within Modern and Contemporary art, and a great eye, so I can understand where you’re coming from. Some of the work I’ve done for clients includes:
Straightening out records for a 1,000+ work collection encompassing offices in several cities;
Coordinating museum-quality conservation projects; and
Ensuring that a collector’s insurance schedules are updated with latest valuations.
I also build and update databases for artists and photographers (and I know your needs are different!). A great inventory system can make it easier for you to submit work to curators and calls for entry, and understand patterns of sales by medium, subject, or price point.
If you can’t right now pin down where something is, perhaps I can streamline your record keeping or take a load off your shoulders. Reach out today using my contact page.
